The night was short,
… but we had slept well. The Ursuline convent in which we were staying is a wonderful place.
The first thing we did was finish the hanging on the organ loft - two large-format pieces were still missing. With that, the hanging in the Severikirche was complete.
From there we moved on to the Pax Bank. Arranging the rooms and matching titles to texts took us right up to the opening. We had done it.
In the afternoon Georg Kestel, Vicar General, arrived from Bamberg,
… to give the opening address. We have known each other since his time in Berlin; over more than twenty years we have come to appreciate and understand one another. He knows my sources of inspiration and my development as few others do, and can put them vividly into words.
It became a truly memorable opening at the Severikirche.
Friends and family had travelled to be there, which made me especially happy.
Now there remains the artist’s hope that the pictures may speak to many visitors.
Only a five-minute walk from the Severikirche brings you to the Pax Bank,
… the second part of my exhibition in Erfurt. More than forty pictures, in smaller and medium formats, hang in the various rooms of the Pax Bank.
A selection of motifs can also be found in the range of art postcards and in the 2023 calendar.
Thank you, Georg. Thank you, Tobias!
